Loved the Python course!

I just finished the Python for Everybody specialization and absolutely loved it! The instructors were clear, and the exercises really helped me understand the concepts. I felt like I learned so much in a short time. The platform was easy to use, and I could access everything on my own schedule. I'm already looking at another Specialization to start next. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn new skills!

Easy course access

I got the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. Enrollment was simple, and the course content loaded fast. It was a good experience.

Great value for learning

I was looking for a good deal on an online course and found the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate here. I applied for financial aid, which made it really affordable, practically free for the certificate. The content was solid and definitely felt worth the small effort to apply for aid. It felt like a smart investment for my career goals.

Is Coursera Plus worth it? Or am I better off just paying for individual courses as I go?

B Brett Nguyen 2 months ago
If you plan on doing more than like, two or three courses in a year, Plus is a no-brainer. I saved a ton last year doing multiple specializations.

I think it depends how fast you work. If you're slow and take breaks, maybe not. But if you binge courses like me, then yeah, definitely. You get access to almost everything.

Hey, wondering if these professional certs are actually worth it for a resume? Like, do employers even care about them from Coursera?

N Nick Beaumont 2 months ago
Yeah, some do. I landed an interview because of the Google Data Analytics cert. It shows initiative, especially if you don't have a traditional degree in that field.

Depends on the industry, honestly. For tech or data, definitely. For something super niche or traditional, maybe less so. But it never hurts to have it listed, shows you're learning.

anyone know if there are always student discounts for Coursera Plus? I'm thinking of signing up but don't wanna miss a deal.

J June S. 1 month ago
I've seen them pop up, but not consistently for Plus itself. Financial aid is your best bet for individual courses if you qualify. For Plus, sometimes they have seasonal sales.

There's a student discount for university accounts I think, but for individuals, it's more like specific promos during Black Friday or back-to-school season. Keep an eye out then!

Thinking of doing a course on Coursera. How does it stack up against Udemy? I've used Udemy before but heard Coursera is more 'official'?

S Shane Bennett 2 months ago
Coursera definitely has more university-partnered content, so it feels more academic. Udemy is great for quick, practical skills from independent instructors.

Yeah, Coursera is generally more structured and often has graded assignments. Udemy can be a bit more Wild West, but sometimes you find hidden gems there too. For 'official' recognition, Coursera probably has the edge with those university certs.
